We love to say that the gospel is a free gift. And it is absolutely, wonderfully free to all who would receive it. But have you ever considered that the proclamation of that free gift is not free at all? It costs something. There is a beautiful, intentional design in the Bible for how this free message is funded, and it's a design meant to protect the message itself from any hint of corruption.
