The Reflex of Radical Empathy

 Have you ever accidentally touched a hot stove? You don’t stop to think, 'Hmm, that's hot, I should probably move my hand.' Your body reacts instantly. It's a reflex. Your entire system responds to protect one part. This instinctive, whole-body reaction is a picture of what God designed the church to be. It's a community that feels together and acts together, not out of mere obligation, but out of a shared, supernatural life.
